The students who are preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to be entered in IIT and major engineering colleges will now have free coaching facilities available at home. Lectures of various topics of IIT senior teachers will now be provided free of charge through TV channels and U-Tube.
Dr. Manindra Agarwal, Deputy Director, IIT Kanpur said that lecturers of experts will be available on the TV channel ‘Self Prabha’ launched by the Central Government’s Human Resource Development Ministry. Apart from this, these lectures will also be available on YouTube from next month.
They said that students can also get answers to their questions in English language during the lecture. Soon, the students will also be able to ask questions in Hindi.
Agarwal said that for the students preparing for the examination, professors of IIT Kanpur have prepared 100-hour lecture cassettes, while the professors of IIT Delhi have prepared 500-hour lecture cassettes. The main subject of these lectures will be Physics, Chemistry, but lectures of other subjects will also be available soon.
He told that preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for this kind of poor students preparing for engineering courses, which can not afford the cost of coaching institutions, will be available through this channel and easily available through U Tube.
